Choosing the first tai chi style is very important. Yang style is best for beginners. The medium-height stance provides good protection for the joints. The movements flow gently and without carrying the body into deep bends. The style is based on relaxation. The interplay of the weight will consequently seem much more natural and accessible. This avoids acute frustration.
